It doesn’t take much to make me happy. In fact, most of the time all it takes is a bowl of ice cream, a blanket and a ‘Biggest Loser’ marathon on telly. However, every now and then I’m cheered by the little things that make life more beautiful. Here is a list of some of the things that I’m loving right now:
All the bloggers who attended #TheCityGirls event in Leeds were given these bottles of nail polish in this luscious shade of red. I know that Angelica Nail Colours have previously been available in Primark, but this brand was new to me. My nail polish collection, although extensive, was lacking a vibrant red, so I was really keen to give this colour a try and I have to say I was VERY impressed with it. I managed to achieve a deep, even colour on my nails with just one coat and when coupled with a topcoat the varnish lasted days. This is definitely a brand I will try again. I’m thinking of jumping on the pastel nails bandwagon too, so watch this space…
Tan sandals by Next
I featured these sandals in a previous blog post. On the days it’s not been raining these have been glued to my feet. I’m extremely picky when it comes to sandals and it took me ages to find a pair that I liked. These were also available in other colours and I was seriously considering buying them in at least one another colourway as well. Unfortunately they’re no longer available. Not to be deterred, I have found alternatives here.
I am very much a chunky jewellery kind of girl, especially when it comes to necklaces, but recently I’ve been broadening my horizons. On the jewellery front, at least.
Yosa is an online jewellery and accessories retailer. An all-round blogger favourite, I had spotted some of their statement pieces in various outfit posts, but it wasn’t until I discovered their ‘Simply Yosa’ collection that I was instantly hooked. I bought the gold loop chain, and the gold chain with the heart pendant came as a free gift! Result! Not only that, but they arrived really quickly. Super fast delivery, great communication and a free gift! I will be definitely buying from them again.
Mac Rebel Lipstick
So, I’m not a beauty blogger, but I felt like I had to include this. Buying make up for darker skin tones is a lot easier than it used to be, but finding the right lipstick colour can be a pain. I don’t like trying on testers on my mouth (coldsore paranoia) and more than once I’ve bought a lipstick, got it home and then hated it. Mac make-up isn’t cheap, but I’d seen other bloggers wear this shade and so I took the plunge. I’m glad I did. This lipstick is as deeply pigmented as you would expect from a Mac lipstick. It lasts for ages too, so you don’t have to reapply it once it’s on (I mean, who has time for that?).
That’s the end of my list for now. I’m sure I’ll be adding to it soon. What things have you been loving lately?
