Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was hands down my favourite book as a child. The characters, the story, the humour, it all kept me entertained and I read it and re-read it over and over again.
‘What’s that got to do with anything?’ I hear you cry.
Well, ever since then I have been on a hunt to find the perfect cup of hot chocolate. For me a cup of hot chocolate has to be thick and rich and basically be liquid chocolate. It most definitely should NOT be watery, urgh! In my quest to find the perfect hot chocolate I have tried several instant formulas and even turned to Pinterest for a recipe (big mistake – butter in hot chocolate? Nooooo!!!!)
Yes, my friends, this is the hot chocolate Holy Grail. It’s thick, it’s chocolatey and it doesn’t leave you with a pile of grit in the bottom of the cup. In a nutshell, drinking this is like giving yourself a hug from the inside out. It’s instant too, so unlike the Jamie Oliver recipe, which is delicious, there’s no grating of chocolate involved (because let’s face it; ain’t nobody got time for that!).So there you have it, folks. You can all rest easy at night.
