vintage caravan hire - eden celebration

It’s almost a year ago now since we completed the renovation of our Vintage Carlight Caravan, which we named Matilda. Although she was in great condition for her age, her interior and exterior needed a bit of a spruce up, so out went the grubby carpet and gas powered light fittings and in went a brand new floor and new electrics.

Carlight caravans were manufactured in Britain from 1932 and have a great British heritage and when we thought about what to do with Matilda, we chose another brand with a proud British heritage,  Laura Ashley. We chose their Josette Duck wallpaper to decorate the seating area and Toile Topaz for the powder room/toilet.

We also chose the Ashby cushion and Dylan throw to add a bit of texture to the interior too.

We think Matilda would make a great backdrop for wedding photos or a great venue for an intimate tea party with friends. We’ve even had enquiries asking for us to serve drinks from her at wedding receptions. She is now available for hire from our events business, Eden Celebration. For any enquiries, please have a look at our website and contact us.

If you are looking to add a touch of vintage class to your event or wedding, have a look at my Pinterest board for ideas.  As you can see, I’m slightly obsessed with vintage caravans!

Enjoy the sun, everybody.

Oh my word. To deck out an old caravan is actually my dream! I love how you’ve decorated it, especially as it’s a little different to what I have seen on Pinterest. STUNNING ❤️

Aww, thanks. It was a lot of hard work, but it’s been worth it. You’ll have to come over and meet Matilda face to face sometime!
